What is included in the price
The term price covers the stated rental period. The combined opening costs above include the separate $35 initial setup fee for standard plans. Both are paid upfront, with no tax or key deposit. Once activated, a rental cannot be canceled early during the agreed term. Your signed mailbox agreement has the full terms.
Renewals have no additional renewal fee; you pay for your chosen rental term. Call 980-250-0591 before your term ends to confirm the current rental price and agreement details.

What is the difference between Secure Cabinet and a physical mailbox?
With Secure Cabinet, staff hold your mail in a secure cabinet and retrieve it for you during regular counter hours. It is the lower-cost option and does not include scanning, an online portal, or 24-hour self-service access. A physical mailbox gives you an assigned box that you can access 24 hours a day. Staffed help and package pickup follow posted counter hours for both options.
How much does a Charlotte mailbox cost?
Small personal service starts at $179 total upfront for six months of Secure Cabinet ($144 rental + $35 initial setup), or $215 for a physical mailbox ($180 rental + $35 initial setup). No tax or key deposit is added to these mailbox prices. Medium and Large business plans and twelve-month terms are also available. Monthly figures are equivalents only, not monthly payment options. Optional paid forwarding is quoted individually.
Is there a setup fee?
A $35 initial setup fee applies in addition to the selected rental term on standard plans. A published special offer may waive that fee under its stated terms. The rental term is paid in full upfront. There is no tax or key deposit, and no additional renewal fee.
Is there an extra fee to renew?
There is no additional renewal fee. You pay for the rental term you choose when renewing. Contact the counter before your term ends to confirm the renewal term, current rental price, and agreement details.
Are term prices paid upfront or monthly?
When opening a mailbox on a standard plan, the selected six- or twelve-month rental term and the $35 initial setup fee are paid in full upfront. No tax or key deposit is added. The monthly amounts shown are equivalents for comparison only, not monthly payment options.
What is the difference between Medium and Large?
Medium and Large are business plans. The amount of mail you receive determines which fits; higher mail volume can require Large. These names are plan categories, not published package dimensions. Tell the counter what you expect to receive so the team can recommend a plan. Small is personal only.
How quickly can I open a mailbox?
Timing depends on current availability and completion of the required agreement, Form 1583, identification review, and any business-recipient documentation. Call first to confirm availability and what to bring.
What happens to mail after I close the mailbox?
Before your term ends, contact the counter to arrange any permitted transfer and update your senders. USPS Form 1583 places responsibilities on both the applicant and the receiving agent; re-mailed pieces require new postage. The signed agreement controls the local procedure. A standard USPS change-of-address request does not redirect mail from a private mailbox.
